The series was founded in 2018 by Preeya K. Gupta, MD, to close the gap between current practice patterns and new interventions—leading to earlier detection, more informed treatment, and greater practice efficiencies.

Based in Durham, North Carolina, Dr. Gupta is an ophthalmologist, clinical medical director, and associate professor of Ophthalmology, Cornea and Refractive Surgery at Duke University Eye Center.
