Eyes On Eyecare (EOE) has officially opened registration to eyecare professionals (ECPs) for its first-ever Eyes On Practice Management event.

Where do we begin?

The virtual, one-day-only meeting, led by renowned industry professionals, will dive into how leading eyecare clinics improve efficiency, reduce costs, and grow revenue—all while under real operational pressure.

  • These pros will break down the systems behind how their clinics achieve peak performance while providing practical guidance across staffing, revenue cycle, technology, and patient retention.

And by the end of the day: Attendees can expect to leave with a high-velocity strategy that can be implemented without additional complexity to their current operations.

Talk more about the general theme.

The event's tagline says it best: Fix the operational gaps holding your practice back.

Among the topics of discussion:

  • Reducing staffing challenges and improving team performance
  • Capturing more revenue with better billing and coding management
  • Increasing profitability with greater financial tracking precision
  • Improving workflow efficiency via artificial intelligence (AI) and automation technologies

And the big question: Why should ECPs consider attending?

For that reasoning, we’ll refer to the event’s program chair: Erich Mattei, MBA, CVA, president and chief vision officer of Akrinos, LLC, a business consulting service for independent optometrists.

Duly noted. So is it safe to assume there’ll be CE at this EOE event?

It wouldn’t be an EOE virtual event without it!

In fact, attendees can earn up to 5 hours of free COPE-accredited CE from five interactive, operations-focused virtual sessions.

To note: The educational activity will be provided by Vision Medical Education (VME).

Let’s talk experts—who can we expect to hear from?

Mattei joins two other experts heading up the program:

  • April Jasper, OD, FAAO
  • Richard Edlow, OD

And sessions will be led by:

  • Bethany Fishbein, OD
  • Brianna Rhue, OD, FAAO
  • Julie Helmus, OD
  • Lauretta Justin, OD
  • Nathan Hayes
  • Steve Alexander

Speaking of sessions … can we get a look at the schedule?

You bet—Check out the full event schedule of clinical tracks.

Mattei shared one aspect of the program he’s most looking forward to: its impact in empowering attendees to make changes in their clinical practice.

“It’s all about the implementation of the idea to fit clinicians’ individual unique situations,” he said. “Managing the practice is just as relevant as taking care of patients—and that application is what's going to vary.”

And how can attendees stay connected throughout the virtual event?

Per usual, EOE is offering its online peer-to-peer chat feature for ECPs to participate in group discussions and create new connections.

And along those lines—they can also engage in an expert Q&A session by submitting questions and topics of interest to be addressed live by experienced faculty.

Will there be an Exhibit Hall?

But of course. Attendees can explore a virtual Exhibit Hall to get the latest on new tools developed for efficiency and profitability as well as personalized guidance from the experts.

Any prize opportunities?

As if it would be an EOE virtual event without prizes.

Up to $1,000 in high-tech prizes are up for grabs. Attendees can increase their odds of winning by hunting for raffle tickets hidden throughout the event.

Now to the burning question: When is this event?

One day only: Saturday, June 27.
