Eyes On Eyecare has officially opened registration to eyecare professionals (ECPs) for its third annual myopia-focused virtual event: Eyes On Myopia 2026.
Where do we begin?
This year’s one-day-only meeting will focus on the evolution of myopia management—from emerging research to expanding treatment options and shifting standards of care.
And for the first time, the one-day only virtual experience is kicking off in partnership with Woo University, a nonprofit specializing in continuing education (CE).
Give a quick rundown on that nonprofit.
First launched in 2020 by Stephanie Woo, OD, FAAO, FSLS, Woo University has since grown and evolved to offer a wide range of CE opportunities for optometrists—including free CE on demand, newsletters, and virtual (live!) events (with a few targeting new grads and students).
The topics, aside from myopia, extend to glaucoma, dry eye, functional vision, ocular disease, contact lenses, neuro-optometry, and much (much) more.
Nice! So is it safe to assume there’ll be CE at this EOE event?
Indeed it is. In fact, attendees can earn up to 5 hours of free COPE-accredited CE from five clinical sessions on the current state of myopia care.
Let’s talk experts—who can we expect to hear from?
Three clinical experts are heading up the program:
- Dr. Woo
- David Kading, OD, FAAO, FCLSA
- Mile Brujic, OD, FAAO
And clinical track sessions will be led by:
- Andrew Morgenstern, OD, FAAO, FNAP
- Ashley Wallace-Tucker, OD, FAAO, FSLS, Dipl ABO
- Brooke Messer, OD, FAAO, FSLS
- Maria Walker, OD, PhD
- Thanh Mai, OD, FSLS
Speaking of sessions … can we get a preview of the topics?
You bet:
- Controversies in Myopia Progression Management
- Combination Therapy
- Current Treatment Options for Myopia Management
- Axial Length: What You Need to Know When Managing Myopia
- Myopia Management Spectacles: Now Available!
See here for the full event schedule.
And how can attendees stay connected throughout the virtual event?
Per usual, EOE is offering its online peer-to-peer chat feature for ECPs to participate in group discussions and create new connections.
And along those lines—they can also participate in live Q&A sessions led by clinical experts.
Will there be an Exhibit Hall?
But of course. Attendees can explore a virtual Exhibit Hall to get the latest on new product innovations from the event’s sponsors as well as personalized advice from technical experts.
Who’s exhibiting* this year, you ask? Take a look.
- Euclid Vision
- Medmont International Pty Ltd
*Sponsoring partners as of March 27.
Any prize opportunities?
As if it would be an EOE virtual event without prizes.
Up to $1,000 in high-tech prizes are up for grabs. Attendees can increase their odds of winning by hunting for raffle tickets hidden throughout the event.
