Hilco Vision is unveiling a new addition to its portfolio of Bruder Health eyecare solutions: Ndemex Revitalizing Eye Serum with Tea Tree Oil.
Refresh me: Hilco and Bruder are one and the same?
Indeed they are—since Hilco’s 2021 acquisition of Bruder Healthcare LLC., after which Bruder began operating as a Hilco company/brand within Hilco’s ophthalmic division (which also includes M&S Technologies).
To be clear: Bruder’s specialization is focused on dry and ocular surface treatment products.
- See here for our coverage on the company over the years.
Got it. Now to Ndemex.
Ndemex Revitalizing Eye Serum with Tea Tree Oil is a lightweight liposomal eye contour serum formulated to support eyelid hygiene and eye comfort—particularly for those experiencing temporary eyelid dryness or discomfort.
How: Via a “botanical combination” of a few key ingredients generally known to support advanced moisturization and absorption:
- Sea whip
- For improved debris and oil removal with reduced irritation around the eyes
- Green tea
- Provides anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-aging properties as well as moisturizing hydration
- Shea butter
- Reduces under-eye puffiness and wrinkles, treats dark circles, and offers moisturization.
- Chamomile
- Soothes and calms irritation around the eye as well as de-puffs and brightens dark circles
Any unique-to-Bruder ingredients?
Indeed. The serum also utilizes a patented nanolipidic particle (NLP) nanotechnology.
- This encapsulates 4-terpineo, a tea tree oil element that absorbs into and gently refreshes the eyelids and periorbital region around the eye via Bruder’s phospholipid liposome delivery system (see here for a visual of this).
Hilco also emphasized that common eye irritants such as parabens and phthalates are not included in the formulation.
Nice! So how should this be used?
For external use only—and with clean fingertips—one small, pea-sized amount should be gently applied, smoothing over the upper and lower eyelids and lashes (with eyes closed).
When: After facial cleansing (as part of a leave-on eyelid skincare routine).
How often: Twice daily (morning and evening).
Is it doctor-recommended?
We don’t know about recommended … but the serum’s product page does note that it has undergone dermatological testing and is “safe for daily use.”
And how does the serum compare to other Bruder products?
Ndemex is actually intended as a complement to the Bruder Moist Eye Mask line.
About these products: The company’s extensive lineup of moist heat wraps and pads is designed for an array of eye conditions:
- Dry eye
- Contact lens discomfort
- Eyelid & eyelash hygiene
- Hydration & eye health
- Blepharitis & inflammation
- Sinus & allergy
- Chalazion
