Calling all retina specialists!

Registration is officially available for the American Retina Forum (ARF) with Eyes On Eyecare (EOE) 2026, a virtual event and first-time collaboration kicking off in February.

First, let’s get a rundown on ARF.

This professional community of retinal specialists centers on peer-to-peer learning, with the collective intent to help members learn from each other and improve patient care.

How it does this: By facilitating conversations for members to discuss difficult or interesting cases, surgical techniques, and “the practice of retina free from outside influence.”

Alrighty, now to this new event.

ARF with EOE will offer a dynamic virtual experience of clinician-to-clinician learning led by top retina specialists from across the United States.

What attendees can expect: Clinical insights on complex cases and innovative surgical approaches, the latest therapeutic advances, and how to deliver better outcomes for their patients.

Sounds intriguing … so when is it?

The date: Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026The times: 7:30 am PST / 10:30 am EST to 2:15 pm PST / 5:15 pm EST

Will CME credits be offered?

You bet! Up to 3.5 hours of complimentary continuing medical education (CME) credits can be claimed when attending the event’s 7 sessions.

Speaking of these sessions—what topics are on the agenda?

All sessions are designed to offer real-world clarity on the conditions, therapies, and technologies impacting the field today.

Among the topics:

  • Comparing 1st and 2nd-generation anti-VEGF agents and their roles in current therapy
  • Reviewing complex and atypical cases that challenge standard diagnostic thinking
  • Exploring modern immunomodulatory therapies and when to escalate care
  • Approaches to complement inhibition for geographic atrophy, including safety and patient selection

Can I get a look at the event schedule?

Certainly. See here (and scroll down) for a look at the complete session list.

And who are the retina specialists we’ll hear from?

Two program chairs:

Along with the following retinal specialists delivering the educational sessions:

And as a bonus: Attendees can submit their toughest clinical retina questions for the event’s program chairs to answer during a live Q&A session.

Is there an Exhibit Hall?

It wouldn’t be an EOE event without one.

As always, the virtual Exhibit Hall is open for attendees to network and connect with fellow ECPs via peer-to-peer chat (similar to instant messaging) to compare notes and review sessions.

  • This year’s company sponsor*: Astellas

*Sponsoring partner as of Jan. 9; check back here for updates

Nice! So how much does it cost to register for the event?

Not a thing! All sessions are free for attendees … and don’t forget: this is 100% virtual.
