Myopia Profile launched its redesigned website geared toward promoting myopia management learning for users, including two new features to support eyecare professionals (ECPs).

Refresh me on this organization.

Internationally recognized, Myopia Profile is a clinical myopia management information center for ECPs focusing on improving pediatric vision.

So why a new website?

Per Myopia Profile co-founder Paul Gifford, PhD, the new site is a significant step forward in the organization’s goal to provide ECPs with the necessary resources for effective myopia management.

Now these new features.

First up is the Knowledge Center, designed to be user-friendly with enhanced search capabilities.

The digital, 500-piece encyclopedic volume of information includes both clinical and science articles accessible via an open-field search (as well as guided search options).

Click here for the clinical article listings and here for science article listings.

What else?

Another new feature is the Myopia Control Product Compendium, which highlights articles, case studies, and science reviews of myopia controlled-specific product information.

According to the organization, these product listings include “direct links to specific topical articles, along with a collection of prescribing resources provided by the respective companies.”

The intent: for ECPs to understand available options and respective effectiveness, as well as how to best prescribe based on patients’ needs.

What else is the organization up to?

Myopia Profile is planning to launch Myopia Action Month in September 2023.

The inaugural event is the organization’s first-ever myopia awareness global initiative.
