ModMed introduces single-screen SOAP notes

ModMed announced the availability of a single-screen SOAP note into the leading EHR for eye care, EMA®, enabling ophthalmologists to streamline their workflow.

Reviewing a patient's medical history, documenting findings and plans, and editing when needed are all handled on a single screen, reducing the need to click and scroll through various sections of the EHR in order to document a clinical visit.

This new intuitive user interface helps simplify a clinician's workflow, making it more efficient and user-friendly. Clients switching to ModMed from other EHRs will find the transition easy, while the interface's resemblance to traditional paper-based documentation has been acclaimed for its efficiency. Users can enjoy the benefits of the ModMed single screen on an iPad or via a desktop web browser.

Ophthalmologists who have already embraced the single-screen workflow from ModMed are experiencing a reduction in clicks that is allowing them to spend more face-to-face time with their patients and less time staring at their screen.

“Practically speaking, the single-screen SOAP note has enhanced the already powerful functionality of EMA through a simple, intuitive workflow,” said ModMed Medical Director of Ophthalmology Dr. Eric Jennings. “The ability to see and document clinical information without having to navigate through multiple screens allows me to move faster and spend more valuable face-to-face time with my patients.”

As ModMed Ophthalmology celebrates a decade of innovation, the introduction of the single-screen SOAP note exemplifies its dedication to advancing user-friendly solutions and setting new industry standards. With ModMed Ophthalmology EHR consistently ranked as the #1 choice by users for the past seven years, this latest innovation further solidifies its position as an industry leader in healthcare technology.

"ModMed is committed to user satisfaction and that has been a driving force behind the single-screen SOAP note," said ModMed Senior Director of Ophthalmology Dr. Michael Rivers. “We have listened to the needs of our customers, and we have responded by delivering a solution that simplifies the workflow for ophthalmologists and accelerates their documentation process."
