Event deepens education about retinal disease and the latest therapeutic treatments
San Diego, California – September 19, 2023 – Eyes On Eyecare hosted the first-ever Eyes On Retina virtual event on Saturday, September 16th, 2023, which was attended by more than 2,500 optometrists, ophthalmologists and eyecare professionals, with the opportunity to claim up to 5 hours of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ and COPE-accredited continuing education (CE) at the event. More than 5,000 eyecare professionals registered for the event and will have access to post-event, on-demand content.

Attendees consumed more than 7,400 hours of content presented by more than 13 distinguished speakers. Five sponsors were in attendance, including Apellis Pharmaceuticals, Iveric Bio, and iCare, who provided symposium content along with a super-charged Exhibit Hall, which welcomed over 2,000 attendee opt-in leads and information requests.
Topics included prospective gene therapy treatments for wet AMD and DME, the impact of AI, choroidopathy, ophthalmic tumors, vitreoretinal surgical pearls, insights into diabetic retinopathy, nutrition, and more.
